2. What this conversation is for
Newton uses an AI voice agent to gather honest, independent perspectives from Women in Food members, identify themes, and produce aggregated, anonymised analysis that shapes the network's programme and content. Your data will not be used for any other purpose without your consent, and it will not be used to market unrelated services to you.
3. What personal data we collect
- Your voice recording and spoken responses
- A transcript generated from your recording
- Any personal information you choose to share (e.g. your role or organisation)
You are not required to provide your name or any identifying information. Where you refer to yourself or others in an identifying way, Newton will take reasonable steps to anonymise that information before reporting.
4. Special category data
You are under no obligation to share special category data (e.g. health, ethnicity, religious beliefs). Please avoid doing so. If you choose to, your consent is inferred from your decision to participate, and you may withdraw it at any time.
5. Our legal basis

- Consent — for any special category data you volunteer. Withdraw at any time: womeninfood@newtonimpact.com
6. How your data is processed and stored
This conversation is powered by ElevenLabs, using their EU data residency workspace. Your voice data and transcripts are stored and processed within the EEA. ElevenLabs acts as a sub-processor under a data processing agreement with Newton.
7. How long we keep your data
Raw voice recordings and transcripts will be securely deleted following the conclusion of this round of research. Aggregated, anonymised analysis may be retained for longer as it does not constitute personal data in law.
8. Who we share your data with
- ElevenLabs (EU workspace) — technology sub-processor
- Newton personnel — authorised staff working on Women in Food only
- Women in Food members and partners — aggregated, anonymised analysis only; never individually identifiable
- Legal obligation — if required by law, court order, or regulatory authority
Your responses are never shared with your employer in an identifiable form.
9. Your rights

Participation is entirely voluntary. You may stop at any time, decline to answer any question, and request deletion of your data. There are no negative consequences for declining or withdrawing.
11. Automated decision-making
No automated decisions with legal or significant effects will be made from your responses. AI facilitates the conversation and generates a transcript only; all meaningful analysis is drawn by Newton's human consultants.
